Trift Corporation operates Trift, a transport, fleet, load marketplace, and logistics recruitment platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices users have when using Trift.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Trift, we may collect:

  • Account information such as name, email address, phone number, role, company name, and profile photo.
  • Transporter and fleet information such as vehicle details, truck photos, registration documents, insurance documents, permits, and assigned driver information.
  • Load information such as pickup and delivery locations, goods category, budget, route details, bids, job status, and messages needed to coordinate transport.
  • Job seeker and recruitment information such as work experience, qualifications, licenses, CVs, supporting documents, and public profile details.
  • Location information when you use map, nearby transporter, pickup, delivery, or navigation features.
  • Device and usage information that helps us secure the app, improve performance, and understand how users interact with Trift.

2. How We Use Information

  • To create and manage user accounts.
  • To connect load owners with transporters and fleet operators.
  • To show nearby transport options, routes, pickup points, delivery points, and job opportunities.
  • To help transporters manage trucks, documents, drivers, and availability.
  • To support recruitment, job applications, talent search, and saved profiles.
  • To provide support, safety checks, fraud prevention, and service improvements.
  • To communicate important updates about accounts, loads, bids, transport requests, support issues, and app features.

3. Sharing of Information

We share information only when needed to operate the platform. For example, a load owner may see transporter profile, truck, and contact information, while a transporter may see load and pickup details needed to provide a quote or perform a delivery. Recruitment profiles may be visible to transport operators when job seekers choose to make them public.

We may also use trusted service providers for hosting, authentication, storage, maps, analytics, communication, and app operations. We do not sell personal information.

4. Location Information

Trift uses location information to support maps, pickup and delivery selection, route planning, nearby transporter discovery, and navigation. You can control location permissions from your device settings, though some app features may not work correctly without location access.

5. Documents and Uploaded Files

Users may upload profile photos, vehicle photos, transport documents, job seeker documents, licenses, qualifications, and supporting files. These files are used to provide platform features, support verification, and help users evaluate transport or recruitment opportunities.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide Trift, comply with legal and operational requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and maintain safety records. Users may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of their information.

7. Account Deletion and Data Requests

To request account deletion or data assistance, contact admin@trift.co.zw. We may need to verify account ownership before completing a request.

8. Children

Trift is intended for users who can lawfully use transport, fleet, load, or recruitment services. It is not directed to young children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Trift grows or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page.
